Welcome to U.S. in Vietnam
This class is an in-depth study of the conflict in Vietnam. This course is designed to provide students with an extensive study into the causes, history and results of the Vietnam War. This will be accomplished through a variety of mediums including lectures, films, photographs, and outside readings.
In this course, the students will:
-explore the history of early Vietnam and its relationship to the eventual conflict involving the U.S.
-learn the roots of Vietnamese colonialism and movement toward independence.
-analyze the involvement of the United States and the decisions which led to conflict.
-discover the result and legacy of the Vietnam War.
