Focus: This unit will focus on the developing English colonial experience and it role in the development of the unique American constitutional system.
Unit Length: Approx. 2 weeks

Student Outcomes: 1. understand the development of the English colonies and the events which fostered the theories of our constitutional government. 2. be able to analyze documents of the time period and discover relationships to our government. 3. identify and interpret various parts of the Declaration of Independence and Articles of Confederation as a culmination of earlier theories of government and as consequences of earlier events.
